Steps for installing rom
1.Unlock bootloader
2.Install Twrp
3.download Cm12.1.zip in SD
4.reboot to recovery
5.wipe everything
6.install zip
8.reboot to system
It will take time for first boot so don't worry

ReplyFirst 10-15 days, I hadn't encountered any problem. WiFi, Bluetooth, camera all were working fine. After 3-4 weeks of use, WiFi stopped working properly. But after all, it is a good option to flash this instead of the buggy Flyme OS. Resetting the phone worked for me. Now everything is working well.
ReplyDo you mean "How to flash/install CM 12.1?". Rooting is the very first step to install any custom ROM/firmware. How can you root a rooted device?. You can unroot a rooted device. Root is a word mainly used for giving the user the system permissions so that it can modify the systems configuration which includes modifying the system applications, flashing custom roms (CM12.1 in this case) et cetera. So if you are thinking of installing this custom rom.
